De Sede anniversary edition: HE-113 armchair by Hans Eichenberger

To mark the 90th birthday of Swiss designer and interior architect Hans Eichenberger, de Sede is reissuing its famous HE-113 armchair in an anniversary edition. The "Black Edition" of the HE-113 in black leather with a black round tube base is limited to an exclusive 50 pieces. Whether as a sofa in the living room, in the reception area or as a reading chair next to the fireplace, the HE-113 armchair impresses with its clear lines and understated elegance.

As an internationally renowned designer of wooden and tubular steel furniture and interior designer, Hans Eichenberger (*1926) represents half a century of Swiss design history. Since the 1950s, his designs have been used to create furnishings and furniture in a straightforward, modern style. Tubular steel furniture is timeless; today it is more in demand than ever. In the search for a new objectivity, such furniture was first created in the Bauhaus workshops founded by Walter Gropius in Weimar in 1919, a modern art school of architects, designers and artists.
