RAUMTAKT receives nomination for the Design Prize Switzerland Edition 23

RAUMTAKT receives nomination for the Design Preis Schweiz 23 in the interior design category. We are extremely pleased to announce that Raumtakt has been nominated for the prestigious Design Preis Schweiz, Edition 23, in the high-caliber interior design category.

In the midst of an impressive flood of over 500 submissions, only 29 projects made it to the final round - and Raumtakt is one of them. Our nomination is a recognition of our innovation and our pursuit of quality design excellence with clear impact objectives.

In a dynamic market environment, we have strived to create interiors that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also provide a functional, emotional and inspiring environment. Our work reflects the high standards and commitment that characterize the Swiss design community.

RAUMTAKT has made it onto the shortlist of the final five nominees.

Being nominated for the Design Prize Switzerland is not only an honor, but also a confirmation of our efforts to actively shape the design landscape. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our partners, supporters and the Design Prize Switzerland for this valuable recognition.

Together with the other talented nominees, we will impress the jury and inspire the design world with our creative approaches and innovative ideas. We are looking forward to the next steps and the opportunity to present our project to a wider public.

Many thanks to our customers, specialist planners, contractors and cooperation partners for their continued support and guidance on our design journey!

On September 1, 2023, Stefan Müller, owner and managing director of RAUMTAKT GmbH, presented the nominated project "Monami Head Office" among the last five nominees at the On Labs Annex HUB at Hardturmstrasse 173 in Zurich. Now we are looking forward to the award ceremony on November 3rd in Langenthal, where we will celebrate the results. Stay tuned for more updates!

Design Preis Schweiz Edition 23 Jury Members: Andreas Caminada, top chef, Marjan van Aubel, solar designer, Kristoffer Fagerström, partner and product designer at Note Design Studio, Malin Engvall, product designer at Note Design Studio, Marianne Goebl, Managing Director Artek, Heinz Caflisch, gallery owner, architect and Alfredo Häberli, designer.

The interior design of the office space of the content agency Monami, part of the MYTY Group, shows how the contemporary conversion of buildings can work. The highly structured premises of a former nursing home were transformed into an open office landscape that meets current working requirements using the simplest of means. Targeted interventions were used to create different atmospheres, with room for experimental spaces such as the happy hour bar.

Jury's comment
The office space for a communications agency was converted from its original function as a nursing home to its new use as a versatile and dynamic workspace in a very short space of time and on a limited budget. Despite - or perhaps because of - financial and time constraints, the existing structure and furnishings were treated with care, preserved, improved and only the bare essentials removed. Targeted interventions were made to open up the originally highly structured space, and the use of color gave the aging building new life and a versatile character. The project demonstrates the feasibility of conversion even with limited financial resources and shows that spaces worth living in can also be created using ecological approaches.
