Hay: This table likes to join in

We know the Danes for good design - and this is absolutely true for Hey too. Co-founders and creative directors Mette and Rolf Hay are committed to good design and want to make it accessible to a wide audience with their products. Their furniture, lighting and accessories blur the boundaries between home and work. Hay products are intended to provide a fresh look at everyday objects and become a part of our everyday lives that can inspire us.

The designers at Hay draw their inspiration from art, architecture and fashion and try to bring these trends to life in their products. Hay also specializes in tables, of which they offer a wide range of variants. But one of them is particularly exciting: the Slit Table.

Design aficionados are already familiar with this type of table from the Irish architect Eileen Gray, who caused a sensation with her Table E 1027 from 1927. The Slit Table is strongly inspired by this, but is also reminiscent of paper origami techniques. The geometric side table made of steel can be used in a variety of ways. The slender frame appears folded under the table top, creating a simple yet sculptural form reminiscent of traditional Japanese paper art. It can be used as a side table to a conventional table, as an addition to a sofa or in other contexts.

The different effects created by the range of colors in which the Slit is available are also exciting. It is available as a kind of "mirror color", but also in a golden hue or yellow. But of course it is also available in black or white and in different sizes and variations. Depending on your choice, the table looks completely different thanks to the different colors.
